The Adjacent Possible in Climate Adaptation

"The Adjacent Possible in Climate Adaptation" is a closed-door Strategic Salon convening on May 09, rand network, with 12 seats. Salons are Futurecraft's most concentrated unit of intellectual work, small enough that every participant carries the conversation, large enough to span the disciplines a serious question actually requires.

The session is organized around a single provocation: Where engineering, urbanism, migration policy, and finance converge, and where they fail to. Twelve participants from four disciplines that rarely sit at the same table. Participants are asked to engage with the pre-reading in advance and to arrive prepared to put a thesis on the table, not to perform consensus, but to test their position against the strongest counter-arguments in the room.

Each salon is designed to produce a permanent intellectual artifact. Intended outcome: Three Research-to-Reality opportunities surfaced; one funded within 90 days. The session is held under Chatham House rules; attribution is by explicit consent only.
